2005-2007 Dry Creek Flow Measurements

Dry Creek Streamkeepers started monitoring a limited number of sites in the Summer of 2005.  More sites were added in 2006 with a total of five today.  Several sites do not have water flowing during the Summer to Fall months and sometimes in the Spring depending on rainfall.  The attached table contains all the flow measurements from the Summer of 2005 to the Fall of 2007.  2008 flow data is available on request and will be published at the end of the year.2005-2007_Flow_Measurements.pdf

DCC Board Election for 2009-2010

The Dry Creek Coalition annual meeting was held on Sep 13, 2009 at the Dry Creek Grange.
A new Coalition Board was elected.
Coalition meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month at the Dry Creek Grange.  Public is invited.

DCC Monthly Meeting Notice

The next monthly DCC Board of Directors Meeting is scheduled for January 13, 2010. 
The DCC Board meets in the basement of the Dry Creek Grange beginning at 7 pm.

The general public and Coalition membership is invited to attend and to express opinions concerning Coalition issues.
Monthly meetings are normally scheduled for the second Wednesday of each month.

Marine Resources Committee (MRC) Eelgrass Report

The final version of the 2006 Offshore (Strait of Juan de Fuca) survey of eelgrass is contained in this document.

This study of offshore eelgrass from Dungeness to Clear Water Bay was conducted in 2006 to determine the location and density of eelgrass which is essential to support of a healthy marine life.
The only area where eelgrass is missing is offshore of the Port Angeles Dump where a marine life dead zone exists.

Community Garden Info Oversear

Community Garden Meeting Feb 17, 2009

A third Community Garden meeting was held on Feb 17, 2009 at the Dry Creek Grange.
Five persons expressed intent to participate in this Community Garden effort.
Harley Oien and O.E. Byerley will proceed with finding approximately 3,600 square feet of garden space, fence, soil test, source water and plow the soil for start of gardening early May.
Participation is closed to additional gardeners for this year.  Membership for garden plots will be opened again early next year.
We thank those who expressed interest and hope that this garden project will be of value to participants.

A third meeting of persons interested in a Community Garden is scheduled for 7pm, Tuesday, Feb 17, 2009 in the basement of the Dry Creek Grange.

Interest persons should be prepared to commit to the garden at this meeting as we must proceed with lease of a plot of land, membership in the Grange applications, soil testing, plowing, fencing, water access for irrigation prior to the start of gardening early May.
