Grange Meeting October 16, 2011 Info on Suppliers

Posted on 10/17 at 07:33 AM

Harley listed a number of web sites where good seeds, fertilizers and irrigation equipment can be found.

Those sites include:
Peaceful Valley Farm & Garden Supply in Grass Valley, California:      http://www.groworganic.com
Soil tests, seeds, fertilizers, irrigation equipment, tools

Azure Standard, Oregon:  Monthly delivery to Wal*Mart (old store) parking lot monthly:  www:azurestandard.com
Practically snything you can purchase at Safeway plus anything you can purchase at Clallam Coop
Single delivery monthly in a big truck, no shipping costs added, printed catalog available at 40cents each shipped in the big truck not by mail.
If want to be an account for delivery to Port Angeles, contact:  Sarena Ganzhorn:  jsaga@juno.com

Dripworks for irrigation that saves water for gardening:  http://www.dripworksusa.com
This one is best used by collecting a large order in a group and sending it under a commercial account for large discounts:  Dry Creek Farm has such a discount account.  The Grange is a good
grouping for coordination of an order.

  Johnny’s Seeds:  http://www.johnnyseeds.com
Maine seed company which has really good quality seed, concentrates on organic seeds, potting soils, tools for the garden.

Come to the next Grange meeting and we will discuss our “Food Chain” in more detail.
