DCC Letter Disputing POPA Wetlands Area

DCC sent a letter to POPA on 9 January 2007 disputing the results of the ALKAI Consultans, LLC report conducted for the POPA, dated 21 September 2006.  The Alkai report delineated 2.7 acres of wetlands.  DCC hired COOKE SCIENTIFIC of Seattle to conduct and independent wetland survey.  This was done in January of 2007.  Results of that survey showed 1/2 to 3/4 of the total 113 acres was legitimate wetland area.  A full delineation was not done by DCC.  Full delineation would likely have defined additional wetland area on the 113 acres.
